The Friday round up of things to do this weekend

Some ideas of things to do in London this weekend,

Open Garden Squares weekend - London 13 - 14 June, 2009. So what's it all about? For one weekend the garden squares of London will be open to the public. A great way for you to discover some of London's hidden gems, for a full list of the gardens and squares participating click here

For something that really epitomises the old traditions, pomp and ceremony of this 'sceptred isle' you can't miss the Queens official birthday trooping of the colour, tickets to this even were by ballot at the start of the year but you can still get a great view of all the event if you head to the Mall and at the end of Green Park (arrive early though to get a good spot).

Another event on Saturday that is fast becoming a tradition is the 6th London Naked Bike Ride, over 1,000 naked cyclists will descend on Hyde Park for an inhuibition free cycle around the Capital's landmarks to raise awarness for and promote, a peaceful, imaginative and fun protest against oil dependency and car culture. A celebration of the bicycle and also a celebration of the power and individuality of the human body. A symbol of the vulnerability of the cyclist in traffic. The world's biggest naked protest: 50+ cities and thousands of riders participate worldwide, including around 2,000 in the UK in 2008

Coin Street Festival - Sunday (free) is really not to be missed, this annual festival @ Bernie Spain Gardens, Upper Ground, South Bank, London SE1 [next to Oxo Tower Wharf] will have musicians, dancers, circus performance, and family creative workshops plus craft, food and drink stalls bring a unique and amazing display of the sights and sounds of Colombia to South Bank. Headlining the event is La-33, the amazing hard-swinging 12-piece salsa band from the heart of Bogota’s 33rd Street with their fabulous mix of salsa and boogaloo, guaranteed to get the South Bank swinging.
